No WiFi? I Felt So Disconnected

Jeff and I have left Deadwood and are now comfortably settled in with the in-laws. The place we stayed in SD was awesome with horses in the backyard and deer covering the moutainside. However, no wifi?

We felt so isolated.

I even took to playing solitaire with a real deck of cards.

We did some hiking to see Roughlock Falls. It was gorgeous and also the setting for the final scenes of 'Dances With Wolves.'

Loki loved the snowy trail. He is quite the snow bunny.

We did a little gambling, mostly penny slots.

Needless to say, we left a little lighter in the wallets.

I am excited to be back with family. Small towns are fun but you can feel like an outsider when everyone knows everyone but you.

Plus, the beauty of being in Minnesota is that I can catch up with friends I haven't seen in years.

I love a good white Christmas.

After the holidays, we are thinking we might visit more family in the Carolinas.

I have said it before and I will say it again, we are truly blessed.

And yes, we will eventually get jobs. All in good time. All in good time.
