Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

When Jeff booked our place in Jackson, WY, the owner assured us it was perfect weather. It is the off season, so we are getting great deals at stores and restaurants. However, it is 20-degrees and the snow has been coming down non-stop. I don't mind. It is actually very pretty out.
Jeff is driving like a pro. He says it is like riding a bike...riding a bike through 4 feet of fluff with high winds and slippery roads.
We are headed to the Black Hills at the end of this week. We are not sure if we are going to try and ski before we go. Our new insurance doesn't kick in until Dec. 1st, so I am trying to keep our risk factors low.
Hence, why I think my pants are getting tight. We are having fabulous meals here, but not doing much hiking. I guess there is nothing wrong with being fat and happy...at least through the holidays.
The locals are really nice and helpful. They gave us some great advice. You can save a lot of money by renting ski stuff at the Sports Authority and not at the ski place.
The best news...and I don't want to jinx it...but we sent off all of the notarized paperwork for our house. They should close tomorrow...fingers crossed. There is a bottle of champagne in the fridge waiting for confirmation.
In the meantime, Loki has proven himself quite the snow dog.
